Yes, I finally have it. My new Singer sewing machine. After work on Thursday, I drove to my Nana's house to find her waiting outside in her driveway with her jacket on and her purse in her hand. There was something sitting on the sidewalk next to her as I pulled in. It was this white case for the sewing machine that she had picked up for me at Walmart a few days earlier. There was a blue case at Target but she said that she would prefer for me to have the white one like she has always had. So off we headed to Target.

We arrived at Target and headed straight to where the sewing machines were located. There was one left. It's a simple Singer Tradition machine that I should have no trouble re-learning how to use. We picked up a few accessory kits that she said that I would just have to have. I should have everything that I need to get started on my first project. 

I'm so excited about this purchase and all of the things that I'm going to be able to make because of it. Like I said, drapes are my first project. Since we still haven't purchased our new living room furniture, I'm going to wait before I decide to sew those since I will not hang them up if they will not match now. We'll see how the first set turns out.
