Emily Kate Goggans

Taylor's sister Amber gave birth to a precious baby girl this morning! Emily weighed 5 pounds 3 ounces and 18 inches long. She is perfect! We are so excited about the new addition to our family. And thankful that she waited until we returned from our trip to arrive. Baby Emily and mom are both doing great. She has dad wrapped around her finger already. And Big Brother Price, he doesn't understand what all is ahead but he's so excited that she's her and ready for her to be home!!

vacation

We left from Atlanta this morning and it was 98 degrees. We landed in San Diego this afternoon at 65 degrees. I may have a hard time returning to Alabama.

I'm so thankful for this trip and quality time with my husband.

ruffle onesie

I love these ruffles. This is definitely not perfect but it's a onesie for a newborn, plus my first try, so I think it turned out just fine! This tutorial that was super easy to follow. Again, I used jersey fabric so there was no hemming involved. (please excuse the iPhone pictures)

I love that I found this idea on homemade by jill too! There are several other things that she has posted about lately that I have just about finished making as well. I'll be posting those over the weekend.

petal collar onesie

I found this idea on one of my favorite blogs the other night and I decided to give it a try. She talked about the tutorial on heylucy and so I started there. I didn't use the heart shaped pattern though. I used a flower that had fallen off one of my shirts from Ann Taylor Loft as my pattern to cut from. I did hand stitch them to the onesie. I used jersey fabric that I got at Hobby Lobby (1/4 yard for less than $1.50). I love the way that it turned out!!

I cannot wait to see Emily wearing this! And I have a feeling that I'll be make more of them. Maybe even some tank tops and shirts for myself. Total time to complete this was under 30 minutes. Perfect to do while catching up on my DVR last night. Now off to work on some ruffles! 

projects for the little ones

As I said in a previous post, we just had one niece born almost 2
weeks ago and in less than 2 weeks we will have another one arriving too! This has turned my crafting into full force. Taylor has been traveling so I am able to come home from work and decide when to get started.

coming home

lucy's dress fit perfectly. i left to drive back home before she was able to leave the hospital. so this is the only picture that i have right now. she looks so cute. i'm so glad that i was able to create it for her.

One more time..

Lucy and I had a little conversation before we left to drive back today. I won't get to hold her again for a month. She's going to grow so between now and then. Her "Tee" (my mom- Marthe) is staying until Friday so I'll get tons of pictures and videos between now and then. I miss you already, Little Lucy!

This picture was one of the only ones that turned out today that I took. Taylor has my camera with him in Europe so I am using his. Wish I knew what I was doing. Think I might need to take some lessons. Lucy is melting my heart. I don't want to drive back tomorrow.

Woah.

She's not mine but my life has already changed forever. I'm in love.

Lucy Olive Jones

She's finally here! Little (big) Lucy was born on Friday, June 4. She weighs 9 pounds 8 ounces and is 21.5 inches long!

We are in love already and I'm currently in the car with the new grandmother and grandfather about to arrive at the hospital in Charlotte to meet her. More pictures to come!
